We have just launched the ability to create exceptions to a regularly scheduled class. You can find this feature under the Events and Classes section in the Club Admin interface.

We have just released new booking layouts, available to anyone that uses SportyHQ to book courts, rooms, or other club assets. This brings a long-overdue visual update to the booking feature, and also introduces a new ‘horizontal’ view, which lets you see more courts/rooms on a single view without scrolling. To try it out, please visit the Booking calendar, and click on the Settings ‘cog’ icon in the top right. You can select either the new vertical or horizontal layouts, and for the time being, have the option to switch back to the existing booking interface if you’d prefer.

We have launched booking reminders, which will send you a helpful email reminder 12 hours before an upcoming booking that you are part of. If you wish to opt-out of these emails, you can visit your “Email Preferences” page under your profile settings. We will also add an opt-out link directly into the booking reminder email shortly.

We recently launched tiered booking refund policies, and today we are introducing multiple refund policy support. This allows clubs to apply different refund policies to different courts. To access the functionality, visit your Club Admin page, and select the Refund Policies link under the Booking menu.

We are excited to announce support for booking fee sharing! Clubs can now give their members the option to share booking fees with the other members on their booking. For example, let’s say you charge $20 for 1 hour of court time. If you enable fee sharing, the member making a booking could choose if they want to split the $20 charge with other members. They’ll still pay the $20 up-front, but if they want to split the fee, other members on the booking will receive an option to split.

To enable this feature, clubs must go to their Booking “Global Booking Options” page. Online payments must be enabled, and then you’ll see a new option to enable Fee Sharing. If you need any help getting this setup, please email [email protected].

We have released a new feature for clubs to create a tiered booking refund policy. If your facility issues differing credits based upon when a customer cancels their booking, then this feature is for you. You can find it under the Club Admin page. Look for the new “Refund Policy" link in the Booking menu.

For club administrators with custom booking types that are only available for admins, we have fixed an issue where only a booking for the default length would be processed. For example, if you had an admin booking type that could make 30, 60, and 90 minute bookings, the booking would always only process for 30 mins, even if you selected 60 or 90 mins.

For ranking lists that use the SportyHQ rating, you now have the option to hide players who have a provisional rating. A provisional rating is where SportyHQ is still determining the most appropriate starting rating for a player, usually based upon their first 5 ranked match results. You can find this setting under Ranking Lists (from a club or organization’s admin page).
